Stream/Download: https://habitat.lnk.to/HBT026 Following the release of Vol. 1 back in May, which saw a selection of tracks quickly hit Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno chart, Mind Against’s HABITAT imprint returns with the second instalment of its fourth ‘Metaflora’ compilation, landing on 8th October. Completing the series’ fourth chapter, the release spans 15 tracks from a diverse cast of established and emerging artists, moving fluidly between propulsive club cuts, richly textured soundscapes and more introspective, atmospheric moments. Opening the VA, the label founders reunite with Tharat & shel·ly following their acclaimed collaboration ‘Wagon’, weaving pensive vocals across a buoyant, rhythmic framework via the emotionally charged ‘Sorry Mom’. Next, Greek duo Momery deliver ‘Nothing To Do’, a blissful, piano-led cut that has been a firm favourite in the HABITAT bosses’ arsenal. Next, Colyn takes the reins with an acid-tinged roller with ‘On The Run’; before, Dyzen & Sideral’s ‘Hooligan’, Yet More’s ‘Overdue’, and Severin Su & Ben Eidani’s ‘Man vs. Machine’ each bring a dose of swagger and attitude. A more atmospheric thread emerges through Recondite’s ‘Kiczo’, Solique’s ‘Motion’, Hedda Stenberg’s ‘Breathe’, and Timelapse’s ‘Don't Hold Your Breath’, which harness extended, ethereal soundscapes and brooding minimal basslines that draw on spacious textures and understated rhythmic detail. Brina Knauss’ ‘Hunting You’ and Fat Cosmoe & My Flower’s ‘I'll Be Hurry’ lift the mood, pairing captivating female vocals with bright motifs and an infectious bassline that balances melodic warmth with dancefloor momentum. Taking things into a grittier territory, Ivan Masa’s ‘Elettronico’ and Fade’s ‘Damac’ layer thudding kicks with waning synths for a raw, driving feel while CALAO’s ‘Toy Boy’ brings a more idiosyncratic edge to the closing stretch, adding to the compilation’s darker, club-focused side. HABITAT’s ‘Metaflora IV’ Vol. 2 VA drops on 8th October 2026.
